※ This article includes promotion of “Shonan Beauty Clinic 湘南美容外科”.

Hello, from Japan! I’m RIN, a girl who is obsessed with aesthetic treatments💆‍♀️

This blog is for girls who are curious about what aesthetic treatments are effective.

Honestly, my face did change so much after several treatments.

For my detailed profile, refer to MY PROFILE.

My Before and After

As a local Japanese, I visit more than 40 clinics every year (mostly in Tokyo), and I’ve got treatments done there more than 50 times.

Here is my before and after photo. ( Left: 30 years old / Right: 31 years old )

I’m pretty shocked when I saw side by side comparison of my before and after.

※ No plastic surgery done during this period

This article includes

  1. What treatments I got ( Rank TOP 3 )
  2. How much it cost (yen)

Now, a lot of people from all over the world are coming to Japan for getting aesthetic treatments in quest of high-quality of beauty care, known as “Beauty Tourism.”

I hope this article will help those who are going to have such treatments in Japan.

What are the TOP 3 effective treatments?

Based on my experience, I will rank the TOP 3 I’ve got done so far.

Thread Lift

This is getting more popular and popular as an anti-aging treatment in Japan. I feel this is so much effective for my saggy faceline.

By putting some threads into your face, your face is going to hold in place.

The doctor told me that holding effect lasts around 1 year, and it gradually fades away…sadly…

Some people are complaining about the short duration, but I don’t feel that way.( at least I’m still seeing the effects for 4 months.)

I went to more than 10 clinics for a thread lift consultation. Each clinic has a skilled doctor, so it was actually very hard to choose the one out of many options.

Honestly, I chose the clinic that offered me the cheapest price, which was ¥240,000 in total.

This includes 8 long threads, 12 short threads, and a shot of anesthesia. , so it was pretty much a god bargain.

Long Thread. Short Thread

Filler ( Hyaluronic Acid )

Filler is considered as one of the safest treatments in Japan. Many people get this done since we can get this type of filler dissolved easily, if something wrong such as allergic reactions happen to them.

My face looks more younger thanks to its plunging effects. I got filler literally all over my face ( cheeks, nose, jaws, smile lines, lip, temples, and aegyo sal )

In total , I got 18 syringes and it cost ¥1,800,000 ( ¥70,000〜120,000 / per the range is depending on where in your face you get it )

I know it cost so much …😂

But, I believe this is worth the expenses because its effects last long ( usually 1〜2 years, and it won’t melt completely). Besides, it does look natural, so I’m very satisfied with the results.

Machine Treatment ( RF / HIFU )

Now in Japan, there are a lot of types of machines out there…

For RF machine, I love Volnewmer, XERF, and Density. All of them are good at naturally tightening and lifting skin by stimulating collagen production.

I got Volnewmer ¥70,000, ZERF ¥70,000, Density ¥77,000 done.

In most of the clinics in Japan, skilled nurses are allowed to do RF treatments to patients. This may be why the price is kinda low in Japanese clinics.

For HIFU, my favorite is ULTRA former MPT, which is the least painful but the most powerful.

I got ULTRA former MPT ¥70,000. Like RF machine treatments, skilled nurse are allowed to do this on patients, so it’s reasonable in Japanese clinics.

What should you keep in mind when choosing a clinic in Japan?

Here are some tips for choosing a good clinic in Japan.

Based on my experience of going to a consult with more than 40 clinics every year, I listed 3 major points you should keep in your mind.

  • Good clinics always let you talk with a doctor for consultation. Don’t get any treatments done at clinics where you can’t have a consult with a doctor.

  • Good clinics never force you to get unnecessary treatments. They suggest only treatments that you really need.

  • Good clinics give you an estimate with accurate pricing for every treatment you are going to have ( including the cost of a shot of anesthesia, medication, pain killer, and etc…)

Which clinic do I highly recommend in Japan?

Based on what I listed above, my recommendation is “Shonan Beauty Clinic 湘南美容クリニック.”

Why do I highly recommend this clinic? There are 6 key reasons.

  • Major Clinic in Japan ( Branches all over Japan, probably the biggest among beauty clinics in Japan)

  • Free Consultation ( You don’t have to pay fee for a consultation. But, you can have a consult with a skilled doctor. )

  • Many Options for Aesthetic Procedures ( You can choose the best treatment for your insecurities out of a lot of options. )

  • Excellent Customer Service and Aftercare ( Whatever undesirable outcomes happen, you can have aftercare within a specific period after getting treatments)

  • Meticulous and Attentive Treatments ( You can enjoy high-quality treatments and sophisticated results )

  • Google’s Review Average Score 4.5 ( Almost all the patients are satisfied with the service and the results.)
